Infraday Midwest 2024
It was an absolute pleasure to be on a robust panel discussing Urban Transformation: The Impact of New Mobility Solutions on City Landscapes at the Infraday Midwest. The wide ranging topics addressed a Call to Action to not design our infrastructure and cities around technology but to figure out what we want our cities and communities to be and make the technology work for us!
As a physical planner-urban designer, I talked about my experiences in creating physical infrastructure that has to constantly adapt and respond to the fast paced technology driven mobility solutions. I talked about the need to accommodate and prioritize competing use of limited road space from bike to freight, evolving concept of mobility hubs as a physical manifestation of new mobility solutions, thinking of infrastructure as a public space, and making better investment choices to create resilient and equitable transportation for communities. Please watch the video for an insightful fun panel talk.
It was great to share the stage with Adrian Pearmine, Kevin Campbell, Sean Keane, MPA, Lindsay Banks Bayley and Ana Mendoza. Thanks Ken Bauco for putting together a great conference!
